DEO Mangan holds Meeting with Political Party Representatives on Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll

A meeting with representatives of recognised political parties regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll, 2026 was held today in the Chamber of the District Collector-cum-District Election Officer, Mangan. The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary, Election Department, Mangan, Mr Karma Sherpa and representatives of political parties.
DEO Mangan, Mr Anant Jain, briefed the representatives on the outcome of the Special Intensive Revision and shared details of the draft electoral roll for the district.
For 29-Kabi Assembly Constituency, the current draft electoral roll comprises 12,109 electors, with 1,109 voters under the Absent, Shifted, Dead and Duplicate (ASDD) category and 1,454 unmapped voters, who will be notified for further hearings by the respective AEROs and EROs.
For 30-Dzongu Assembly Constituency, the draft electoral roll contains 10,144 electors, with 600 unmapped voters and 548 ASDD voters.
For 31-Lachen-Mangan Assembly Constituency, the current draft electoral roll includes 7,729 electors, with 905 unmapped voters and 666 ASDD voters.
Overall, the district’s draft electoral roll comprises 29,982 electors, with 2,323 ASDD voters and 2,959 unmapped voters.
The DEO also informed the representatives that three new polling stations have been constituted in 29-Kabi Assembly Constituency and one new polling station in 31-Lachen-Mangan Assembly Constituency.
He stated that the period for filing claims and objections will be from 5 July to 4 August, while hearings for unmapped voters will be conducted from 5 July to 2 September. The final electoral roll will be published on 6 September, 2026.
The draft electoral rolls were shared in QR code format to the political party representatives, with separate QR codes provided for the Draft Electoral Roll and the ASDD voters’ list, enabling easy access to the information.
The meeting concluded with an appeal to all political party representatives to extend their cooperation in ensuring the successful completion of the electoral roll revision process.
